This October, ONYX Automotive was proud to participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, honoring those affected by the disease and contributing to life-saving efforts. Beginning October 1st, ONYX launched a series of activities to raise awareness and support for breast cancer patients in our community.
Our biggest event was PINK OUT DAY on October 18th, 2024! We invited everyone—employees, customers, and friends—to join us by wearing pink! A Driving Good Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt was designed for associates to purchase. We are proud to share that ONYX raised $3,140 from the Pink Out Day t-shirt sales! 100% of the donations support the Lymphedema Prevention Program for Breast Cancer Patients at Nebraska Medicine.
October’s Driving Good Youth & Mentor Spotlight is Asher Petersen!
Asher is a Service Technician Apprentice at ONYX Automotive under the brands Jaguar, Land Rover, and Range Rover. Asher has been with ONYX for nearly two years in the H+H University program.
Joshua was a home-schooled student and learned of the H+H University Program in the summer of 2022. Asher’s mentor is Cody Stickney who is a Service Technician at Jaguar Land Rover, and Range Rover Omaha.
June 3 – 29th, ONYX Automotive will be running a food drive in partnership with the Food Bank of the Heartland. ONYX will be one of many local businesses to participate in their Strike Out Hunger campaign. This collaboration aims to support the Food Bank’s goal to raise 600,000 meals.
March’s Driving Good Youth & Mentor Spotlight is Drew Doty and Joe Peterson! Drew and Joe have quite a special bond. Joe mentors Drew in his apprenticeship role in the service shop at BMW of Omaha.
Joe is a Service Technician and has been with ONYX for over 7 years. Drew is a Service Technician Apprentice. Drew currently attends Iowa Western Community College with a focus on Automotive Technology. He graduated from Sioux City East High School and the Automotive Program with Harry Hopkins Career Center.

ONYX Automotive is proud to announce its partnership with Together Omaha through the ONYX Driving Good initiative, a campaign aimed at raising essential living supplies for those facing hunger and homelessness in Omaha and the surrounding communities. This donation drive will run March 4th – March 22nd 2024.
February’s Driving Good Youth & Mentor Spotlight is Lyland Cole! Lyland is a Service Technician Intern in the Jaguar, Land Rover, and Range Rover service shop at ONYX Automotive. He currently attends Metro Community College (add major/focus area) and graduated from Papillion High School in 2023. Notably, he is also a student of the Avenue Scholars program. Avenue Scholars is an Omaha-Area individualized support service that helps students identify, prepare for, and ultimately sustain themselves financially in a high-demand career. He currently attends Metro Community College and is working towards an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology and a Certificate in Gas Tungsten ARC Welding. Lyland graduated from Papillion High School in 2023.
Lyland’s mentor is Cecil Haley (Service Technician, ONYX Automotive), and he warmly shares the value of this relationship to his life and career.
