ONYX Partners with Food Bank for the Heartland’s Strike Out Hunger Campaign

 
June 3 – 29th 2024, ONYX Automotive ran a food drive in partnership with the Food Bank of the Heartland. H+H was one of over 20 local businesses to participate in their Strike Out Hunger campaign. In total, over 400,000 meals were raised to support the Food Bank of the Heartland’s mission to fight against hunger.

ONYX Automotive Makes an Impact

ONYX is proud to announce that our associates and customers have come together to make a remarkable impact on our community by raising a total of 2,771 meals for the Food Bank for the Heartland. Through generous contributions, over 1,800 pounds of non-perishable food items and $800 were donated, showcasing the incredible spirit of giving.

Understanding that every dollar donated translates into three meals for those in need, we encouraged the ONYX team and customers to contribute either food items or provide financial support. This collaborative effort highlights our commitment to supporting our community, proving once again that together, we can make a significant difference.

Some Friendly Competition

Our 7 Omaha area locations engaged in a friendly competition to see who could build the best-designed sculpture from their food donations. Among the fantastic entries, the ONYX Automotive team stood out, winning the “best design” award with their innovative “Strike Out Hunger” food sculpture. This fun and collaborative event not only fostered team spirit but also highlighted the impact of our collective efforts in fighting hunger.
