ONYX Partners with Together Omaha to Support Those in Need

ONYX Automotive is proud to announce its partnership with Together Omaha through the ONYX Driving Good initiative, a campaign aimed at raising essential living supplies for those facing hunger and homelessness in Omaha and the surrounding communities. This donation drive will run March 4th – March 22nd 2024.

Together Omaha: A Beacon of Hope

Together Omaha is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and ending hunger and homelessness in the heart of Nebraska. With a mission to provide support and resources to individuals and families in need, Together Omaha has been a beacon of hope for those struggling to make ends meet. The organization’s comprehensive approach addresses the root causes of homelessness and hunger, offering a helping hand to build a stronger, more resilient community.

ONYX Driving Good Initiative:

At ONYX, we believe in the power of community and the responsibility that comes with success. Our Driving Good initiative is a testament to our commitment to giving back to the communities that have supported us. This March, ONYX associates and customers are invited to join hands with us and Together Omaha to make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

How You Can Participate:

1. Donate Essential Living Supplies:

Drop off non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and other essential living supplies at ONYX during the campaign period.

Together Omaha’s Wish List:

Hygiene/Personal Items (Travel and Regular-Sized):

• Shampoo
• Body Wash
• Bar Soap
• Toothpaste
• Deodorant
• Toothbrushes
• Adult Diapers – L, XL

Household:

• Can Opener
• Pop Top Ravioli or Spaghetti
• Beef Jerky
• Granola Bars
• Peanut Butter To Go (Individual Packets)
• Trail Mix Packets
• Peanut Butter Crackers
• Cheese Crackers
• Protein Drinks
• Gallon Ziploc bags

Clothing (new/gently used)

• Gloves (Size: L, XL)
• Hats
• Coats (Size: L, XL, XXL, XXXL)
• Backpacks

2. Financial Contributions:

ONYX will be accepting monetary donations through its Driving Good app, with all proceeds going directly to Together Omaha to support their crucial initiatives.

3. Spread the Word:

Share the campaign on social media, encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to join in. Use the hashtag #ONYXDrivingGood to create a collective online presence for this meaningful cause.

4. Volunteer Your Time:

Consider volunteering with Together Omaha to make kits from the supplies donated by ONYX. Your time and dedication can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
