For decades, SUV buyers have needed to choose between off-road prowess and on-road sophistication. It seems the more you get of one, the less there is of the other. At Jaguar Land Rover, though, they don’t believe in compromise. The result is the 2025 Land Rover Defender. It’s a rugged SUV that feels great on the roads and yet has the off-road touch of a classic 4×4—all with the latest powertrain, infotainment, and technology features.

At ONYX Automotive, we have the latest Land Rover Defender for sale, and we can’t wait to introduce it to you. This SUV is simultaneously vintage and contemporary, offering everything for on-road and off-road performance. Not only that, but as you’ll see in our Land Rover Defender buyer’s guide, shopping for this vehicle is like visiting a classy buffet where you can pick out whatever you want for a delicious meal. Read on to see how the 2025 Land Rover Defender sets the bar from the city to the backcountry.

Adventure and Everyday Driving in Three Sizes

It’s standard in the automotive industry for a model to be one size, as this offers simplicity for manufacturers and buyers. Occasionally, you see a truck or SUV come in multiple sizes for variety. Then there’s the 2025 Land Rover Defender, which is offered in three sizes, so no one has to settle. Whether you’re looking for a subcompact, compact, or three-row SUV, the Land Rover Defender will oblige.

How do you determine which is which? Just look at the model number. The 2025 Land Rover Defender 90 is the nimble subcompact edition with two rows of seats and up to 58.3 cu.ft. of cargo space. For the compact option, get a 2025 Land Rover Defender 110. It has an optional third row that will fit your kids and a cargo capacity of 78.8 cu.ft. The biggest of the bunch is the 2025 Land Rover Defender 130, which has a larger third row for adults and an expansive 89 cu.ft. of total cargo area. These different sizes are just one of the many ways the 2025 Defender can be what you want or need it to be.

The Power You Need in Any Setup

This customization and versatility extend to the heartbeat with an extraordinary five powertrain options. The base P300 engine in the Defender 90 and Defender 110 is a 2.0L turbo-four that defies its small stature, pumping out 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque to whip your SUV around corners and over backroads. In the Defender 130, the P300 transforms into a turbo-six that makes the same horsepower but offers 347 lb-ft of torque to account for the larger model’s extra weight.

That’s just the beginning. A P400 3.0L mild hybrid engine is available on all Defenders, which is turbocharged, supercharged, and paired with an electric motor for 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. This also produces a maximum towing capacity of 8,201 lbs in the Defender 90 and Defender 110 to haul campers and equipment. Want the classic roar and unassailable zip of a throaty, supercharged 5.0L V8? Choose the P500 on the Defender 110 or Defender 130 and enjoy 493 hp with 450 lb-ft. Finally, there’s the magnum opus: the P525. Offered for the Defender 90 and Defender 110, it further tweaks the V8 to deliver 518 hp and 461 lb-ft, which will have you screaming over asphalt, dirt, or any other terrain.

Leave Obstacles in the Dust

Speaking of terrain, the 2025 Land Rover Defender is made to handle all of it. It has a unibody platform with an independent front and rear suspension, coil springs, and standard 4×4. That means it drives smoothly without compromising off-road ability. You can add an air suspension with height adjustment as well. Drop the ride height down for more comfort and better efficiency on the main roads, then raise the height when you go to explore the nearest beach or mountain.

The Defender comes with 11.5 inches of maximum ground clearance, passing over branches, rocks, and other obstacles in the road like minor inconveniences. All-season tires are standard, with wheel sizes ranging from 19 to 22 inches—and you get a full-size spare, so whatever situation you end up in, you can get out of it. Every Land Rover Defender also has a two-speed transfer case, electronic traction and stability control, hill descent control, hill launch assist, and other dynamic components to make you the master of any path you travel.

Stand Proud With Upscale Luxury

As brutishly powerful and rugged as the 2025 Defender is, you must remember it’s built by Jaguar Land Rover—a brand that is known for its luxury style. The result is an SUV beast that also wears a suit, tie, and the finest cologne. It combines the traditional boxy 4×4 style with smooth modern lines, giving it a sleek edge. All-LED exterior lighting includes automatic headlight leveling, daytime running lights, and hi-vis front and rear fog lights. Some trims add darkened tail lights for boldness on the main roads.

Inside the Defender, you’ll find premium upholstery materials such as Windsor leather and heavy-duty Kvadrat. You get a minimum of 12-way power adjustment for the heated front seats—some trims have 18-way adjustment and cooling, too. Did we mention you also receive a sliding panoramic roof to let the sunlight or moonlight in? Other luxurious add-ons include a leather or suede-wrapped steering wheel and a leather shifter. Some models even have a small refrigerator in the front console to chill your drinks and snacks.

Technology for Modern Exploration

Luxury means some of the best tech you’ll find in any vehicle. You don’t have to trust us when we say the Land Rover Defender’s tech rivals supercars—just look at the cabin. It pairs an 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch interactive digital gauge display, and an available head-up display to see everything you need to know. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and you also get SiriusXM and HD Radio on every Defender, helping your entertainment reach the farthest corners. Listen to those tunes through a 400-watt Meridian 11-speaker sound system or the optional 700-watt, 15-speaker surround system.

Need more? The Defender offers built-in navigation, a front wireless charging pad, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a deluge of USB charging ports. Finally, the 2025 Land Rover Defender has one of the most comprehensive standard driver assistance suites in the SUV world. You get the following features regardless of size and trim level to help everyone stay secure:

  •         Emergency Braking
